Who is Inkanti

INKANTI ITALIAN ETHICAL BRAND OF WOMEN’S CLOTHING
IN PURE BABY ALPACA WOOL

Inkanti is an Italian brand championing ethical, artisan and sustainable fashion.
Inkanti reinterprets the ancient art of processing Alpaca fiber wool from Peru to create stylish contemporary women’s fashions, with all of the elegant and innovative design you would expect from clothing Made in Italy.

Inkanti highlights the quality and not the quantity by producing durable clothes that pass through time and transcend the seasons.

OUR GOALS

Contrary to a regular and seasonal launch rhythm, at the antipodes of a fashion produced and consumed quickly, Inkanti finds its raison d’etre in the proposal of timeless clothes that transcend the seasons.

Inkanti offers affordable luxury clothing, all sustainable and respectful of the work of the artisans who knit each garment of the collection.

CONTEMPORARY AND DURABLE FASHION

The Inkanti brand started off in June 2018 through a Crowdfunding campaign within the Ulule portal.

The immediate feedback obtained exceeded all expectations.

Inkanti is a small all-female team that connects different continents and has a desire: to renew the Peruvian tradition with the Italian design in order to create together a new, original and suitable style for all women.

Inkanti garments enhance the women who wear them and make them protagonists of a project that combines aesthetics with ethics.

THE FOUNDER

I am in complete harmony with this quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”

Today, with Inkanti, my dream is to make fashion a little more aware: to buy better, quality and lasting.

Valerie

In 2016 Valerie was exploring Peru on a pleasure trip and in a typical Cuzco market she was attracted by the bright colors of traditional local ponchos. The workmanship was excellent and every detail revealed an ancient mastery, but it was conquered by the softness and lightness with which they dressed the body without weighing it down.

The wonderful sensation on the skin was created by the fiber with which they were made: the alpaca.

Back home, she conducted research to find out that the production in pure alpaca fiber was almost zero in our country. Thus began the dream of creating a Prêt-à-porter collection that, through an alpaca thread, united the Andes with Italy.

To accompany her on the path that led her to Inkanti, Alessia joined, a young fashion designer, with whom Valerie defined the style of her collection and identified the team of skilled Peruvian artisans who deals with the production of models designed in Italy.
